Welcome to Lea Michele‘s fridge!
As part of the “Wellness Wednesday” series she hosts on her Instagram story every week, where she shares tips and tricks for living a healthy lifestyle, the Mayor actress took her followers inside her refrigerator and pantry. The idea came from feedback from fans who wanted to know all about Michele’s “favorite snacks.”
“I always keep tons of healthy fruits and vegetables in my refrigerator that are all organic,” the former Glee star wrote on a photo of her stocked fridge. “I find that the healthier foods I have at home the more nutritious snacks I have on hand at all times. Rather than snacking on bad things it helps me to stack [sic] on good things all the time. Yum!”
Clearly visible on her shelves were bowls of fresh blackberries, blueberries and cherries and tons of citrus like oranges, sliced lemons, and grapefruits. Michele also keeps fresh greens and plenty of drinks to keep her hydrated like SmartWater (still and sparkling), Whole Food’s Almondmilk, aloe vera juice and orange juice.
When it came to pantry items, Michele is just as healthy. The star recommended the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lärabar (“Perfect for keeping in your bag when you’re on the go!” she says), gimMe Organic’s Sushi Nori Roasted Seaweed (“The perfect snack.”), and KIND’s Maple Quinoa Clusters (“This is great by itself or on top of a yogurt or a smoothie!”).
She’s also not afraid to admit to a few indulgences. Her go-to wine is Our Daily Red’s Red Blend which boasts no preservatives added. To satisfy a sweet tooth, Michele is all about Luna and Larry’s Coconut Bliss non-dairy frozen dessert in their chocolate peanut butter flavor. “Soooooo good!!!” she wrote.
Michele has been known to credit her healthy lifestyle for keeping her cool, calm and collected.
“It’s so important for me to stress that being healthy is not about being a gym rat. It’s not about being 90 lbs.,” she told PEOPLE last year. “This is really how I live every single day.”
